In the Finance and Corporation Committee (F&CC) meeting held here today, while seven projects worth Rs 1 crore were declared pending by Mayor Jagdish Raja, projects worth Rs 1.5 crore were cleared.

The projects of replacing tube wells with new ones could not get cleared today as the Mayor asked O&M branch members that if any of the infrastructure of the previously installed tube wells could be reused, to which the officials replied it can’t be reused. To this, the Mayor asked them to give the reply in written.

“I have asked the officials to give a written reply, he said.

Also, the project in which stray animals will be transferred to the Faridkot cowshed has got cleared. Recently, Mayor Jagdish Raja had paid a visit to Faridkot to inspect a cowshed.

In the proposal, it is said that the stray animals must be transferred to cowsheds that are operated in Shahkot and Faridkot.

In the proposal, it is also mentioned that the officials at the Faridkot cowshed have permitted the transfer of 1,500 animals there.

According to the proposal, a sum of Rs 32 per animal will be spent in the process.
