Phagwara: A woman, identified as Paramjit Kaur of Jagpaulpur village, was reportedly murdered by her brother-in-law Sukhwinder Singh and his son Gurpreet Singh at the village. An ongoing land dispute was said to be the cause behind the murder, the police said. The deceased was admitted to a private hospital in Jalandhar where she succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday. The police have arrested Sukhwinder while his son Gurpreet managed to escape. — OC
