The Punjab School Education Board has selected 27 primary school teachers from the district for an audio-video presentation on the overall development of their schools done at their own level.

These teachers apart from teaching took a keen interest in the development of their respective school by improving the infrastructure, academic results, teaching methodology, maintaining a clean and green environment among other things.

In a letter issued by the Director, State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT), Punjab, (copy with The Tribune), it is stated that under the ongoing project of ‘Padho Punjab Padhao Punjab’, efforts were being made for the overall development of schools and many schoolteachers, while rising above their duties, took keen interest in the welfare of schools and students.

“We have selected 27 teachers from 27 primary schools in Ludhiana district, who took a series of initiatives for the all-round development of schools. We are holding a one-day workshop with these teachers, where they will share their initiative so that the same could be implemented in other schools of the district. Secretary School Education Krishan Kumar will hold a chit chat session, meeting and workshop, in which teachers will give an audio-video presentation of the school activities or welfare activities they are carrying out in their schools,” the letter reveals.

Kuldeep Saini, Deputy DEO, Primary, also confirmed that 27 schoolteachers of the district would hold an interactive session with the Secretary School Education, in which teachers would apprise the Board officials about the initiative they took for the welfare of the school and students. So far, two teachers of Government Primary School Ghulal and Jandiali will give an audio-video presentation. Others have also prepared the presentation, Saini said. He said these 27 schools were selected after thorough scrutiny.
