30 boxes of illicit liquor seized

The Sahnewal police have seized 30 boxes of illicit liquor from two persons, who were carrying it in a car near Jugiana village. Kashmir Singh of the anti-narcotics cell along with his police party, on a tip-off, came to know that the two persons involved in illegal liquor trade were supposed to reach Jugiana village with the liquor at a given time. The police stopped Inderjit Singh of Gobindsar and Jagwant Singh of Jugiana village and found that they were carrying illicit liquor in a car (PB-06-A-6220) near Jugiana village. As the accused came to know about the presence of the police, they left the car and then fled away from the spot.

The police have recovered 30 boxes of liquor from the car and registered a case under the Excise Act against the accused.
