CMC inks pact with American health varsity

LUDHIANA: Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Western University of Health Sciences, Pamona, California, USA.

Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Western University of Health Sciences, Pamona, California, USA.

The MOA was signed by Dr William Bhatti, Director; Dr Jeyaraj D Pandian, Principal; and Dr Gary M Gugelchuk, CEO, Western University of Health Sciences, California.

Dr David Baron is the senior vice-president and is an expert in de-addiction.

Dr Bhatti said there would be exchange of students and faculty from both the institutions. Dr Pandian said research collaboration would also be explored between faculty members in areas of interest.

Dr Ivy Tuason, Assistant Dean, Global Health and Innovations; and Dr Ruth Trudgeon, Pediatric and Community Health Nursing Professor; visited visiting College of Nursing with seven graduate students of Western University of Health Sciences.

Dr Reena Jairus, Principal, College of Nursing, said nursing students would be interacting with student’s faculty in pediatrics and obstetrics and gynaecology department for two days.

In addition, Dr Daniel Wilson and Barring visited the de-addiction section of the psychiatry department at the CMC.
