Girl hired contract killer to kill father

With the arrest of three persons, the city police claimed to have solved the murder case of the railway employee.

Shockingly, the deceased’s daughter along with her lover and mother were found involved in the crime.

Railway employee Kuldeep Kumar (44) was hacked to death at his house in Ajit Nagar, Haibowal, in the wee hours on Friday.

The accused hired a contract killer and paid Rs2.5 lakh to him and hatched the conspiracy of murder. Sudhiksha (18) had an affair with one Tarun Tejpal Singh (23) and her father was against their relationship, due to which she planned to eliminate him.

Four persons were hired by the mother-daughter duo, who are yet to be arrested. However, one of the accused has been identified as Sagar.

Police Commissioner Sukhchain Singh Gill said deceased’s daughter had an affair with Tarun and recently, her father came to know about it, due to which he was forcing his daughter to stay away from the boy. But the girl was not ready to end her relationship with him.

Recently, when the deceased caught his daughter while talking over phone to Tarun, he had broken her mobile phone. Since then, the girl decided to eliminate her father.

“To bring her mother on her side, she told her that her father committed vulgar acts with her and had even thrashed her. The girl’s mother got swayed by her version. The girl arranged a meeting of her lover with her mother, in which they hatched the murder conspiracy,” the CP said.

Tarun then spoke to notorious criminal Sagar and hired him to kill the girl’s father. In lieu, he gave him Rs2.5 lakh. Sagar, along with his three aides, reached Ludhiana from Mohali.

On Friday around 3 am, Sagar and his aides barged into the house and strangled Kuldeep first and later slit his throat. The mother-daughter duo, who was aware of the incident, was awake in their room on the first floor. To present it as a loot case, the accused took away the motorcycle and the bike of the deceased.

In the morning, deceased’s wife raised an alarm around 7 am and informed the locality people that some robbers have killed her husband.

Deceased’s mother and daughter were rounded up by the police on suspicion the same day and during questioning, the duo confessed to having killed Kuldeep.
