To lure more and more voters to cast vote, many offers were given by different sections of society today. While restaurants offered up to 20 per cent discount on food items, some doctors offered free OPD check-up.

Free cupcakes and pastries were given to those who showed ink on their fingers. Harjinder Singh from Hotbreads said visitors were given free food items.

“The gesture was to encourage voters to come out and case vote. We had to go abroad and were getting cheap tickets. But we preferred to stay back and cast our vote. We will take the evening flight today after casting vote,” said Singh.
