PAU employees submit memorandum to MP

Ludhiana, January 21

A joint delegation under the leadership of Baldev Singh Walia, president of PAU Employees Union, and Dr Harmeet Singh Kingra, president, PAU Teachers Association, met Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu today.

The members apprised Bittu of major demands of Punjab Agricultural University employees and submitted a memorandum.

Employees demand implementation of sixth pay commission, promotions of non-teaching employees, implementation of old pension scheme, regularisation of staff working on contract/ DPL basis without conducting test, fill vacant posts and provide full pay scale to new recruits, among others.

The MP assured that the sixth pay commission would be implemented soon, matter pertaning to implementation of old pension scheme for employees recruited upto July 8, 2012, in autonomous bodies would be taken up with the government. He said promotions of non-teaching employees would be taken up with the university authorities.
