Ludhiana: A special assembly was arranged at MGM Public School to mark the International Yoga Day. Students were apprised about the importance of yoga on the occasion. All students from Class IX to XII performed asanas under the guidance of their teachers. These asanas were taught to bring out holistic approach to health and wellbeing among students. Different yoga postures, including anulom vilom, padmasan and bhujangasana, finally ended with pranayama and meditation. Schoolchildren got a chance to know how yoga embodies unity of mind and body. Principal Poonam Sharma made students aware about physical, mental and spiritual impact of yoga on healthy life.
