LUDHIANA: The following players (men and women) have been selected to represent Punjab in the 68th Senior National Basketball Championship, scheduled to be held from January 17 to 24, in Chennai.

The following players (men and women) have been selected to represent Punjab in the 68th Senior National Basketball Championship, scheduled to be held from January 17 to 24, in Chennai.

Teja Singh Dhaliwal, honorary general secretary, the Punjab Basketball Association, said the teams had been finalised after selection trials.

Names of the players for the men’s team, include Satnam Singh, Gurwinder Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Princepal Singh, Arshpreet Singh Bhullar, Rajbir Singh, Ranbir Singh, Harman Singh, Sartaj Singh, Talwinder Singh, Jaipal Singh, Gurwinder Singh, Sahil and Khushdeep Singh.

The women’s team includes Harjeet Kaur, Harminder Kaur, Kirandeep Kaur, Gagandeep Kaur, Smriti, Komalpreet Kaur, Rajiv, Sakshi, Kirti Sood, Somi, Priyanka and Prabhjot Kaur.

Rajinder Singh and Ravinder Singh will accompany the men’s team as coaches while Balkar Brar is manager of the squad. Devinderpal Singh and Narinder Singh have been named coaches of women’s team while Salwinder Singh will be its manager. Shukhpreet Singh will accompany the contingents as physio specialist. — OSC
