New Delhi, April 29

Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa visited the Air Force station in Agra where he flew onboard an Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. He viewed the Air Force exercise conducted over the north-western part of the country.

The Indian Air Force Chief flew from Agra yesterday to check the forces participating in the ongoing war gaming exercise of the Western Air Command “Exercise Trishul”. The AWACS provides a live picture of 800-km radius when airborne.

Under the exercise, all assets of the Western Air Command were mobilised to demonstrate the potency of the Indian Air Force in a real-time war-like scenario.

This included engaging with a large of number of fighter jets in electronic warfare environment, an Indian Air Force spokesperson said today.
