On the verge of covering the entire country in a couple of days, the southwest monsoon on Thursday hit Haryana, Delhi and Chandigarh, a day before the official date of June 29.

It further advanced to more parts of the Gujarat region, parts of east and west Rajasthan and the remaining parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.
