Purba Bardhaman: Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Insan Mallik was shot dead in West Bengal’s Purba Bardhaman district on Friday night. The police said he was shot below waist and died on the way to hospital. While TMC district president Swapan Debnath hit out at opposition parties, Mallik’s wife Shiuli, who is also a TMC leader, said infighting in the party led to her husband’s murder. PTI
