Chandigarh, March 18
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has cleared the name of ADGP RN Dhoke as the nodal officer for police affairs in Punjab for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, official sources said here on Monday.
A 1993-batch IPS officer, Dhoke is presently serving as the ADGP coordination with headquarters at New Delhi. He has earlier served as Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana.
He is also associated with several welfare measures for the police force, including meditation classes and job satisfaction survey among policewomen, besides certain others.
