Malik today said Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh should declare a financial emergency and take necessary steps accordingly to strengthen the exchequer or quit and pave way for midterm polls.

Interacting with the media here, he said the Congress came in power in 2017 by making false promises and exploiting sentiments of people by raising sacrilege issue. “Captain Amarinder held the holy book in his hands and declared to end the drug menace within a month, but media reports verified that claims on curbing drug trafficking were farce,” he said. — OC
