The Punjab Government will be participating at the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos, Switzerland.
Punjab is one of the three states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana being the other two) who have been invited to participate at the prestigious international summit for public-private cooperation.
The state government will be represented by Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal. Additional Chief Secretaries Vini Mahajan and Rajat Aggarwal will be accompanying him. The World Economic Forum is an international organisation for public-private cooperation, which engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
The team will be marketing Punjab as an investment destination. Vini Mahajan, who holds the charge of the Industry Department, said in the next one month before the summit starts, they will be tying up with top honchos of multinational companies for meetings during the summit.
