Dhaka

Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and Pakistani paceman Wahab Riaz were fined Sunday for a heated on pitch argument during the final day of the drawn first Test.  Hasan and Riaz had 30 percent of their match wages docked for breaching the ICC's code of conduct during the Test in Khulna, the ICC said in a press release on its website. "Posturing and finger pointing in each other's face is not what we expect from two senior international players," the ICC quoted match-referee Jeff Crowe as saying. "International cricketers should always remember that they are being watched and followed by millions and, therefore, need to always control their emotions and demonstrate respect," he added.

SRH still got a lot of hard work to do: Moody

Buoyed by the win against table-toppers Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody said his team still has quite a distance to go and will need to continue the momentum in its remaining games. "We have got lot of hard work ahead of us. This is just one step towards where we want to be, that's the final four. It's an important step. The next one against KKR is equally important. The conditions are going to be very different from what we experienced today," he said. Moody complemented captain David Warner. "He (Warner) has batted exceptionally well throughout the tournament. Again today, he set the pace for us with the bat. He plays fearlessly. He plays smartly. He puts pressure on the opponent.” — PTI
