Flesh trade racket busted, four arrested

BATHINDA: The Canal Colony police claimed to have busted a flesh trade racket with the arrest of four persons, including two women, from the Sukhpeer road area here on Saturday.

The Canal Colony police claimed to have busted a flesh trade racket with the arrest of four persons, including two women, from the Sukhpeer road area here on Saturday.

The suspects have been identified as Sukhpal Kaur, a resident of the Sukhpeer road area, Bunty Singh and Kaur Singh, both residents of Sema village, and Mamta of Amarpura Basti.

The police said the suspects had been running the flesh trade racket for a long time from a house located on the Sukhpeer road. The police added that acting on a tip-off, a raid was conducted on the house and the suspects were arrested.

A case under Sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Immoral Trafficking Act has been registered at the Canal Colony police station.

SP (City) Aswant Singh said, “Sukhpal was running the flesh trade racket from her house on the Sukhpeer road. They were arrested after a raid conducted on the house.”
