Chandigarh reports 17 new Covid cases—highest in five months

Chandigarh, December 18

Chandigarh reported 17 new coronavirus cases—its highest since June this year—in the last 24 hours, a health bulletin from Chandigarh administration showed on Saturday.

Chandigarh now has 85 active cases with a positivity rate of 0.78 per cent over the last seven days.

The UT has reported no new deaths. Its fatality count since the pandemic began stands at 1,076.

The bulletin shows 1,434 samples were tested for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

Chandigarh also reported six recoveries on Saturday, the bulletins shows.
