Gian Jyoti Global School celebrated its 41st annual day on the theme of “Shades of Life” at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh. Over 1,300 students enthralled the audience with their magnetic performances.

Gian Jyoti Global School celebrated its 41st annual day on the theme of “Shades of Life” at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh. Over 1,300 students enthralled the audience with their magnetic performances. Mohinder Pal (IAS), special secretary, Local Bodies, Punjab Government, was the chief guest on the occasion. Sstudents displayed a wide array of colorful events. Kindergarten students performed on ‘Om Sai Ram’, ‘Saare Ke Saare’ and ‘Lakadi ki Kathi’. Principal Ranjeet Bedi applauded the efforts of students, teachers and parents for making the celebration a success.

St Joseph’s Sr Sec School, Chandigarh

A Hindi debate was held for students of Classes VII and VIII at St Joseph’s Sr Sec School, Sector 44 D, Chandigarh, to observe the Armed Forces Flag Day. The topic for the debate was Adhikar Vs Kartavya. The winners were Advait and Gunjan of Class VIII, who bagged the first position.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh

An eye check-up camp was organised at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh. The camp was conducted by Mandeep, eye consultant; and Shubham Sharma, optometrist, from Titan Eye Plus. The team apprised the children on how to protect their eyes. They also sensitised students and staff on eye care procedures.

Guru Harkrishan Public School, Chandigarh

Students of Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr Sec Public School, Sector 40, Chandigarh, brought laurels to the school by winning medals in Inter-School Boxing Tournament in U-17 girls and boys’ category held at SD Public School, Sector 32, Chandigarh. In girls’ U-17 category, Bhavna bagged gold medal while Sehajdeep Kaur, Jasleen Kaur, Taranpreet Kaur, Charanpreet Kaur won silver medals. Isha Puri, Manpreet Kaur, Gurleen Kaur, Trannum and Nisha won bronze medals. In the boys’ U-17 category, Harustat Singh bagged silver medal and Kiranveer Singh, Harsimran Singh, Aman, Amritpal Singh and Akshit won bronze medals. TNS
