Mohali, March 5

Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi has written to the Punjab Chief Minister and the Minister of Local Bodies demanding that basic amenities be made available to the residents of areas under the jurisdiction of the municipal corporation and the societies under GMADA in the Mohali Assembly constituency.

Bedi said people of these areas voted during MC, state and Lok Sabha elections, but were denied basic amenities, like pre-mix, cleaning, sewage, street lights, etc.

The Deputy Mayor said these people also paid property tax.

Residents of TDI Society are fighting and struggling at every level. Similarly, residents of Preet City area are also suffering due to lack of electricity connections. Bedi asked the CM and the minister to immediately act on the demands of the residents living in these societies.
