AMRITSAR: The administration has launched one-hour free Wi-Fi facility, under the Smart City project, at the Heritage stree here on Monday.

Amritsar, October 21

The administration has launched one-hour free Wi-Fi facility, under the Smart City project, at the Heritage stree here on Monday.

MP Gurjeet Aujla, who inaugurated the facility, said a record number of sangat from across the country and abroad was likely to visit the holy city on the forthcoming 550th Gurpurab of Guru Nanak Dev. The Wi-Fi facility would help them access information on the city and its historic sites on internet. He said a request had been forwarded to the Centre to provide free Wi-Fi at Sultanpur Lodhi and Kartarpur Corridor, where a large number of devotees were expected to turn up.

Mayor Karamjit Singh Rintu and CEO of Smart City-cum-MC Commissioner Komal Mittal were also present on the occasion.— TNS
