SHISHU NIKETAN:Aanchal International School, Sector 41-D, Chandigarh, celebrated its annual day ‘XPRESSIONS-2019’.



Aanchal International School, Sector 41-D, Chandigarh, celebrated its annual day ‘XPRESSIONS-2019’. The occasion was graced by Justice MMS Bedi (Retd), Chairman VAT Tibunal, Punjab. The function started with ‘Ganesh Vandana’, ‘Shiv Stuti’ and ‘Krishna Lila’. Students enthralled the audience with mime, dance performances, rhymes, yoga and taekwondo.

Shishu Niketan, Nayagaon

Shishu Niketan-22 Public School, Nayagaon, celebrated its annual function, Blossom 2019, with fervour. Himanshu Jain (IAS), SDM, Kharar, Mohali, was the chief guest of the event. The programme commenced with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp. A play on ‘Say No To Plastic’ created awareness against the use of plastic. Highlights of the day were ‘Shishu Circus’, a tribute to fathers and dance on patriotic songs. Amita Khorana, Director of the school, read the annual report.

CRB Public, Chandigarh 

CRB Public School, Sector 7-B, Chandigarh, organised its annual function, ‘Renaissance’, at Tagore Theatre. Students presented some educational events that hinted upon the ill-effects of mobile phones and plastic.

DC Model, Panchkula

DC Model Senior School, Panchkula, in association with the PPSA, organised a blood donation camp on the school premises. A medical team from Command Hospital helped the donors through the whole process. Around 149 people registered themselves, out of which 128 were able to donate blood.

Jainendra Public, Panchkula

Jainendra Public lit up with divinity when it celebrated the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. Schools under the HUB enjoyed the scintillating ‘nagar kirtan followed by melodious shabads. Beautiful Gatka mesmerised all. The host school organised an intriguing quiz in which Blue Bird School bagged the first prize and Bhavan Vidyalaya got the second prize.

Stepping Stones, Chandigarh

Stepping Stones International conducted a special assembly on National Pollution Control Day. Students enacted a skit with the help of various props on the importance of reducing the consumption of electricity, water and fossil fuels. The assembly was named as “Rubbish Assembly”.Students explained what garbage is, how we must manage its disposal and what can be done to reuse garbage. The 3R’s (reduce, reuse and recycle) were explained. tns
