CHANDIGARH:Hunar Mittal scored a total of 229 to top the 0-18 handicap category on the concluding day of the 25th Punjab Open Ladies Amateur Golf Championship at the Chandigarh Golf Club here on Thursday.

Chandigarh, October 11 

Hunar Mittal scored a total of 229 to top the 0-18 handicap category on the concluding day of the 25th Punjab Open Ladies Amateur Golf Championship at the Chandigarh Golf Club here on Thursday.  

Heena Kang (231) claimed the second position, while Lakhmehar Pardesi (234) finished third. 

With the three-day card of 220 Sunita Kataria dominated the field in the Silver Salver category (0-18 handicap). 

Ira Jamwal (281) topped the leaderboard in the 19-25 handicap category. She was followed by Parnita Garewal (285) in second place. Rima Dhillon (229) was adjudged the net winner.

In the bronze plate, 26-32 handicap category, Manpreet Sandhu (303) and Rook Aulakh (304) bagged the top-two positions, respectively, while Madhurpreet Sonia (222) emerged the net winner.

Heena Kang (152) won the junior shield, while Ceerat Kang (173) took home the sub-junior shield. 

In the Neelu Chopra Cup Senior Challenge (60+ years), Dimple Minocha was the gross winner with a total of 179, while Inder Gill (147) emerged the net winner.

In the Pali Sukarchakia Memorial Trophy Super Senior Challenge, Vijay Wadhawan (194) was the gross winner and Dalbir Sahi (158) the net winner.
