The police today arrested an immigration consultant for duping several persons of crores of rupees here.
Baljinder Singh Grewal today surrendered before a local court from where the police arrested him. The suspect was running an immigration consultancy office at Phase 3B2. “At least 50 cases of fraud have been registered against him on complaints of several persons. He had cheated them on the pretext of sending them abroad and had taken hefty amounts. Neither did he send the victims abroad, nor did he return their money,” said the police.
The local court remanded Grewal in one-day police custody. — TNS
