CHANDIGARH: In an early-morning eviction drive on Friday, the Chandigarh MC and police removed unauthorised vendors from Sectors 19 and 22 here.

Chandigarh, December 6

In an early-morning eviction drive on Friday, the Chandigarh MC and police removed unauthorised vendors from Sectors 19 and 22 here.

The MC staff also broke a temporary market structure raised by vendors in Sector 22.

While in Sectors 1 to 6 and 17, which have been declared no-vending zones, no vendors were allowed there.

Meanwhile, vendors who were allotted sites at Sector 15 are sitting there.
