CHANDIGARH:The UT police have registered a rape case against two unknown persons for raping a 13-year-old girl.

The UT police have registered a rape case against two unknown persons for raping a 13-year-old girl.

The victim, a native of Uttar Pradesh (UP), who is residing at Palsora, was found pregnant in September this year after which the Chandigarh police had recorded her statement in which she had stated that she was raped at her native place in UP by some unknown person. The police had registered a zero FIR and transferred the case to the UP police.

However, the victim later changed her statement and told the UP police that she was raped in Chandigarh, following which the case was transferred back to UT.

The police here recorded the victim’s statement again in which she stated she was raped by two persons on different occasions.

The police have registered a case of rape under the POCSO Act against unknown persons at the Sector 39 police station and initiated an investigation.
