Chandigarh, April 20

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate, Harmohan Dhawan, campaigned for the Lok Sabha poll at Sector 46 here today.  Party leaders said local residents assured him this time rather than voting for the Congress and the BJP, they would support the AAP candidate in the elections.

Showing annoyance they also added that former Congress MP Pawan Banasl and incumbent BJP legislator Kirron Kher had betrayed city residents particularly people living in the housing board complex.

While addressing residents, Dhawan said from the last 20 years their demand for regularising need-based changes was still a distant dream. He assured them if he was elected he would regularise need-based changes on priority basis.

In the afternoon AAP Yuva brigade continued their campaign at the Sector 18 market under Bikram Dhawan. In the evening former sarpanches, panches and Zila Parishad members reached Mauli village and campaigned under Jujhar Singh Badheri in favour of the AAP candidate.

Later, in the evening, Dhawan attended a kirtan darbar organised by the Progressive Residents Welfare Association in Sector 40 and a jagran organised by the Market Welfare Association of Palsora.
