NEW DELHI:Seven persons injured in a gas cylinder blast in Raghubir Nagar in the evening.

Seven persons injured in a gas cylinder blast in Raghubir Nagar in the evening. The Police Control Room received a call at 8.31pm  regarding the blast of gas cylinder.

The injured persons rushed to Guru Govind Singh Hospital and from where after initial treatment they were referred to RML Hospital.

The injured are identified as Umesh Ram (45), Jairam Rai (30), Bhagwan (30), Mahesh (25), Dharmender (30), Babul (30) and Mangal (15).

According to a police official, the injured persons have not given any statement despite several requests and an FIR has been registered at the Khyala Police Station.

The spot was got inspected and the gas cylinder and burner have been seized. On inquiry it was revealed that all the injured are from Bihar and are working as labourers. They all were living at the premises where the incident happened.

Mori Gate: 2 vehicles gutted

A fire broke out in the parking lot at Mori Gate on Monday and no casualty was reported, said an officer from the Delhi Fire Service.

A call was received about the fire at 10.30 am and three fire tenders were rushed to the spot, he said, adding the fire was doused by 10.55 am.

A bus and a car in the Mori Gate parking area behind the Tis Hazari Court had caught fire, the officer said.
