Accused who escaped police custody, held

New Delhi, August 13

An accused who jumped police custody on July 27, after being brought to DDU Hospital from Tihar Jail during the course of treatment, has been nabbed. 

One loaded country made pistol has also been recovered from the possession of the accused, Raju, alias Mango, said the police. 

On a tip-off the police apprehended the accused on August 10. During interrogation, it came to fore that the accused had jumped the police custody when he was brought from Tihar Jail to DDU Hospital for treatment, said the police— TNS
