34-year-old woman arrested for killing husband in Palwal

The police have arrested a 34-year-old woman for killing her husband here. An FIR was registered last month. The deceased was identified as Sundar.

A police official said they are investigating the crime that took place on December 11. He said the police had booked a case based on a complaint lodged by Sundar’s brother Kulbir.

In his complaint, he said some persons had killed Sundar in his sleep. He got to know the about the incident from Sundar’s wife, who claimed that someone had murdered her husband and had no clue about the accused.

However, during the interrogation, the suspect confessed to having killed her husband.

The woman said she had hit Sundar with a stick. Fed up with his alcohol addiction, she strangled him to death with her shawl. She alleged that he used to beat her and their minor children after drinking.
