Gurugram, April 13
A recent tweet by Haryana BJP handle targeting the AAP state in charge and Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Gupta has unleashed a social media war between the two parties.
The tweet, which pompously showed Bhali Anandpur School in Rohtak, was addressed to Gupta, asking him to have a look at the school and stop spending much time in Punjab or with Arvind Kejriwal.

I consider this village as my own. I had taken admission in Class VI in Bhali Anandpur School in Rohtak when I was 11 years old. — Manohar Lal Khattar, CM
In Poor state
The children are sitting on floor, plaster is peeling off. This is what you call the face of education in Haryana. If this is what you are proud of, we will have to take over by 2024. — Sushil Gupta, AAP state in charge
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had on Saturday inaugurated a multi-storeyed building of the newly constructed Government Senior Secondary School at Bhali Anandpur village in Rohtak district, built at a cost of Rs. 2.75 crore. Referring to his long-standing relationship with Bhali Anandpur village, he said he considered this village as his own. Sharing his experience, Khattar said 57 years ago, he had taken admission in Class VI in the school when he was 11 years old.
Showing his strong resentment, Gupta today held a press conference in the city where he went on asking the CM to first put things in order before revisiting his alma mater and posting videos.
“The children are sitting on floor, plaster is peeling off. This is what you call the face of education in Haryana. If this is what you are proud of, we will have to take over by 2024,” said Gupta.
He released a video allegedly showing “poor” state of the school. He said this was not the lone case, but from now on, the party would expose the plight of education and students in the state.
Meanwhile, following the press conference, the Haryana BJP handle went on to tweet against Gupta, calling him a rumour monger. “He has learnt this from Kejriwal and is spreading rumours,” said the tweet as the party too posted a video of the school.
