Chandigarh, January 15

The government has decided to reopen all government and private schools after winter vacation for pupils from Classes IV to XII from tomorrow.

An official spokesperson said the Directorate of School Education had issued a circular stating that the winter break for Classes I to III had been extended till January 20. The school management could decide whether to reopen schools for students of Classes IV-V in consideration with the Deputy Commissioner concerned. The presence of all academic and non-academic staff would be mandatory from January 16. The timing for all schools would be from 10 am to 4 pm.
