Dharamsala, October 1

Tibetans today staged a protest in McLeodganj to mark the 70th anniversary of the Chinese attack on Tibet. The activists, carrying Tibetan flags, marched through the lanes of the town, raising slogans against the Chinese government.

Tibetan organisations also created an image of Chinese President Xi Jinping looking at the ‘dead bodies’ in Tibet. They said since China occupied Tibet on October 6, 1950, thousands of people had been killed.

The protesting Tibetans attracted the attention of tourists, who had come to McLeodganj.
