Mandi, July 21

In a road rage incident, four tourists assaulted a local resident of Nandi village under police station Padhar in Mandi district on yesterday night.

According to the police, four persons were traveling in a car from Manali to Mandi via Kataula road yesterday night. When they crossed Kamand Chowki, they were engaged in a scuffle with a local youth Bhaskar Sharma while taking a pass for their vehicle.

“In this scuffle, local youth has sustained injuries on his head. The police have detained the all four accused for interrogation. Two accused are from Punjab state, while another two are from Hamirpur district in Himachal Pradesh,” said the police officer.

The police have registered a case and investigation was underway.
