CHANDIGARH: A team of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) recently visited Government Degree College at Shahpur in Kangra district for the purpose of assessment and accreditation.

A team of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) recently visited Government Degree College at Shahpur in Kangra district for the purpose of assessment and accreditation.

The NAAC peer team consisted of Vasant Shinde, vice-chancellor, Deccan College, Deemed University Pune; Neeta Pandya, MSU Baroda; and D Maria Antony Raj, principal, Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur (TN).

The team assessed the college on different criteria like infrastructure, teaching-learning facilities, student progression, governance and management, research activities and best practices of the institution, as categorised by NAAC, college principal Arti Verma said in a statement.

The principal added that after grading, the college will be eligible for further RUSA grants.
