People to be apprised of welfare schemes

An awareness camp regarding public welfare schemes will be organised by various departments on January 24 at gram panchayat Urni in Kinnaur district.

The camp will be organised at panchayat office Urni under Nichar development block of tribal district of Kinnaur. The joint department awareness camp is an initiative of the state government to make the general public aware of various public welfare policies and schemes being run by different departments.

The purpose of the camp is to provide information to the public about various public welfare schemes so that they can get benefit from these plans. Departments which will take part in the campaign include horticulture, agriculture, animal husbandry, industry, social justice and empowerment, Scheduled Caste and Tribes Corporation, Food and Civil Supplies and Lead Bank Kinnaur.
