Two Dharamsala students among top 10 innovators

DHARAMSALA: Students of Class IX at Rainbow International School, Nagrota Bagwan, Mannat Mehta and Devanshi, have been among the top 10 innovators from the best performing ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab) Schools of India.

Students of Class IX at Rainbow International School, Nagrota Bagwan, Mannat Mehta and Devanshi, have been among the top 10 innovators from the best performing ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab) Schools of India. The students got an opportunity to showcase their self-made prototype in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin. They also had an interactive session with the leaders.

The students have developed a model on conservation and harvesting of rainwater in areas that receive good monsoon and then supply it to rain-deficient areas.

After the successful completion of a boot camp, Mannat Mehta and Devanshi would attend the intellectual event “Indo-Russian ATL Student Innovation Residential Camp” organised by Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, at IIT-New Delhi.

To promote innovative co-operation between students of India and Russia, an MoU was also signed between the Atal Innovation Mission and the Russian Federation SIRIUS Educational Foundation in the presence in New Delhi.

Rainbow tinkers worked on their prototypes, safety measures, in two-wheelers under the theme, “Smart mobility and the hologram under space technology” and refined their problem statements with their allocated mentor Seema Sharma.

Dr JR Kashyap, Director, Rainbow Group of Schools, Himachal Pradesh, and New Delhi,congratulated Mannat Mehta and Devanshi on their achievement. Principal Chhavi Kashyap also extended her greetings to the students and Seema Sharma.
