Settle pending land acquisition cases, DCs told

Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma today asked the Deputy Commissioners of the Jammu Division to expedite the process for speedy disposal of all pending land acquisition and requisition cases of the Army, BSF and CRPF.

Verma issued these directions while chairing a meeting of the Deputy Commissioners of the Jammu Division held to review the status of land acquisition and requisition cases of the Army, CRPF and BSF.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Sushma Chauhan and senior functionaries of the CRPF, BSF, Army and other departments concerned, while the Deputy Commissioners of the Jammu Division along with other officers concerned attended the meeting through video conferencing.

The Deputy Commissioners apprised the Divisional Commissioner of the present status of land requisition and acquisition cases in their respective districts.

It was informed that most of the cases have been resolved in some of the districts while other pending cases are being processed.

Verma sought case-wise details of land acquisition and requisition cases for all the districts and asked the DCs for resolving the pending land acquisition and requisition cases at the earliest.
