Carry on Pollywood

Celebs from Punjab have already hopped on to the 2019 bandwagon promising slew of sequels and songs, writes Jasmine Singh

Mamma mia

Popular Punjabi actress Neeru Bajwa has shared a sweet picture of her. The actress is talking about a child care brand that she is promoting, but it is, however, it looks like a  sweet mother daughter moment, which has touched many hearts and gone viral.

Manje bistre collected

Singer-actor Gippy Grewal has shared the first look teaser and poster of his film Manje Bistre 2 starring Simi Chahal and others in the lead role. In this film, the scene of marriage shifts from Punjab to Surrey, Canada. The teaser of the film has already crossed 895,745 views within two-three days of its launch. This year will see Gippy Grewal entertain the audiences with many more sequels, Ardaas 2 is one of them.

More power to sequels

Singer-actor Gippy Grewal is not the only artiste who will be seen in sequels, apparently yet another singer-actor Tarsem Jassar will be seen in a sequel Rabb Da Radio 2. A few days back, Jassar shared the first look poster of his upcoming film Uda Aida opposite Neeru Bajwa. This is for the first time that the two actors will be sharing screen space.

And, she sings

Actress Sonam Bajwa and popular Punjabi singer Gurnam Bhullar recently wrapped the shoot of their upcoming film, Gudiyaan Patole, which marks the debut of Gurnam Bhullar as an actor. Apparently, both Sonam and Gurnam have shared a video of a song, which Sonam attempts to sing. She is later joined my Gurnam. Sonam writes, ‘Iss gane nu attempt karan laeyi maafi...But just coz it’s my fav. Wrapped Punjab schedule for #GudiyaanPatole 8March Singing lessons will continue with super adorable @gurnambhullarofficial.’ We wouldn’t be surprised if the pretty actress decides to take to singing professionally, she sure has a voice to watch out for.

I am the don

His fans haven’t seen singer actor Sippy Gill on silver screen for a long time. While the artiste readies to appear to on screen with Punjabi film Jaddi Sardar, he has launched a single from his album Death or Glory with a very different title and punch line- Don’t Bark. The hook line of the song says-If you can’t bite. Now, isn’t his creativity at its best!
