For model-actor Shivani Thakur, confidence is the key

Model Shivani Thakur resides in Amritsar to pursue a career in acting, but is from Jubbal, near Shimla, in Himachal Pradesh. Freelancing as a model and actor, from childhood itself, she had the fantasy of seeing herself on the screen. As she grew up, her resolve got stronger and she started out with modelling assignments. In Amritsar to learn acting, this Chandigarh University graduate has been apart of web series, which will be releasing soon, and short films, Disowned and Kaash, till now. She is looking forward to debut in Punjabi music videos in 2021.

Your first assignment...

I did my first fashion show for an apparel brand, after which I not only got a chance to walk the ramp for various designers, but also becomea part of short films and web series.

The most interesting shoot so far and why...

I have done a unique photo-shoot with Mumbai-based make-up artist Harry Rajput and photographer Ajay Thakur. It was theme-based and I enjoyed experimenting with my looks.

I had been preparing for a bank manager’s job before my focus shifted to modelling.

Your current style obsession?

I have recently developed a liking for formal attire, be it dresses or pant suits.

What is your daily routine like?

I wake up around eight in the morning. I practice my scenes or do some rehearsals when not shooting; otherwise, I carry on with my shoot schedule. In the evening, I work-out at the gym. I usually sleep after watching a movie or web series.

What will you wear for a date?

Asalwar suit with open locks.

Wardrobe must-haves?

A little black dress, a well-fitted pant suit and traditional dresses. Also, lot of footwear and handbags.
