The last couple of years have been stressful for students due to the pandemic. While one had to guard against the disease, online classes posed a stiff challenge too. As a result, many cases of aggression as well as depression were reported in children. However, 17-year-old Anmol Rattan, a Panchkula-based medical student in class XII, utilised the time well and wrote his first novel! Titled Who Killed My Mom?, the murder mystery has been published by Shri Ram Publishing House and is being liked by all age-groups on online portals.

The novel is set in Goa in 1996, where Monica Ribeiro, an eminent businesswoman and the city’s mayor, is murdered in her own house. Her daughter Natasha Ribeiro enlists the help of a private detective, Dev Rathore. Thereafter begins the process of exposing layers of lies. The story takes interesting turns, as the needle of suspicion keeps spinning on to everyone. — TNS
