Income-Tax Dept holds outreach programme

LUDHIANA: A taxpayer outreach programme was organised today by the Income-Tax Department at New Sabzi Mandi, Ludhiana, under supervision of Joint Commissioner of Income Tax Manav Bansal, alongwith officials of Range 3 Ludhiana, Assistant Commissioner of Income TaxSM Meena.

A taxpayer outreach programme was organised today by the Income-Tax Department at New Sabzi Mandi, Ludhiana, under supervision of Joint Commissioner of Income Tax Manav Bansal, alongwith officials of Range 3 Ludhiana, Assistant Commissioner of Income TaxSM Meena.

While addressing commission agents and traders, Bansal laid stress on importance of filing income tax returns (ITRs) and payment of taxes which are utilised for developing healthcare, education and infrastructure.

He also emphasised on changed outlook required from businesses in the changed economy and various facilities offered to taxpayers by the I-T Department.

He also briefed about services being offered by the department, including e-rickshaw, Aayakar Seva Kendra (ASK), online portal for grievance redressal and vertical garden in Aayakar Bhawan, Ludhiana.

The members were also apprised of e-assessment proceedings and it’s benefits.

Amandeep Singh Sandhu, secretary, market committee, Ludhiana, and Dinesh Sharma, CA, honoured Bansal and other officials on the occasion.
