Ludhiana, August 6

Industrial unit owners and workers were sensitised to Covid-19 guidelines of the government. Mass media teams of the Health Department on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma and Civil Surgeon Rajesh Kumar Bagga are carrying out awareness activities in the district. Today, these teams comprising District Mass Education and Information Officer Harjinder Singh and block extension educators went to various industrial units of the city and surrounding areas. The team members interacted with senior officials and workers of the industrial units and apprised them in detail regarding the advisory issued by the Health Department.

Dr Bagga said Ludhiana being an industrial hub of the state employs lakhs of migrant workers in these industries. These workers and their employers need to take precautions advised by the government to stop the spread of Covid.
