Man held with poppy husk

The Koom Kalan police recovered 2 kg of poppy husk from a resident of Chandran village yesterday. The suspect was carrying poppy in a bag while travelling from Katani Kalan towards Bhaini Sahib. A case has been registered against the suspect at the Koom Kalan police station.

Investigating officer Ashok Kumar said Sub-Inspector Dilbag Rai, who was coming from Katani Kalan towards Bhaini Sahib, noticed a man carrying a white polythene bag, which contained something suspicious. On investigation, the suspect was identified as Raju Ram, a resident of Chandran village. The suspect was arrested on the spot and 2 kg of poppy husk recovered from him.

A case under the NDPS Act was registered against the suspect at the Koom Kalan police station.
