Ludhiana, July 29
Irked over the failure of the state government to notify revised UGC pay scales, the Punjab Federation of University College Teachers’ Organisation (PFUCTO) has decided to launch an agitation. Dr LS Kang and Dr Jagwant Singh, president and general secretary of PFUCTO, respectively, have welcomed the decision of the HP Cabinet to implement UGC pay scales.
“On August 3, teachers of Punjab along with teachers of other states will hold a protest at New Delhi. A regional rally will be held at PAU Ludhiana on August 10 and further course of action will be decided on that day,” he said.
