New Delhi: Former Chief Justice of India (CJI) and Rajya Sabha member Ranjan Gogoi (66) has been accorded Z-plus security cover, officials in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said. The decision came following a thorough analysis and review of the threat perception to Justice Gogoi, who headed the five-judge Supreme Court Bench that delivered verdict in the Ram Temple case. — TNS


Two Lankans held with Rs1K-cr heroin

New Delhi: The NCB has arrested two Sri Lankan nationals and seized around 100-kg heroin worth Rs 1,000 crore. The action was taken as part of its drive against a trans-border drug-trafficking racket, officials said. The accused, MMM Nawas and Mohamed Afnas, were caught in Chennai. The drug syndicate they masterminded has its tentacles spread across Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Australia, they said. — TNS

Hyderabad: The Indian School of Business (ISB) has been ranked number one management institution in India and 44th globally as per the full-time MBA Ranking 2021 of The Economist. The ranking surveyed alumni from Post Graduate Programme (PGP) class of 2019 and students from the PGP class of 2020. ISB has participated in The Economist ranking for the first time. —TNS
