India hits out at Nepal over revised map

New Delhi, May 20

India today hit out at Nepal for releasing a new political map that includes Kalapani, a bone of contention between the two countries, as well as other disputed spots.

The MEA said the release of a revised map of Nepal that includes parts of Indian territory is an “unilateral act and not based on historical facts”. Accusing Nepal of going contrary to the bilateral understanding to resolve the boundary issues through diplomatic dialogue, MEA official spokesperson Anurag Shrivastav said India would not accept artificial enlargement of territorial claims. — TNS
