Pilot wins from Tonk ; Raje beats Manvendra Singh in Jhalarapatan

JAIPUR: Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot won Tonk assembly seat, beating his nearest rival, BJP’s Yoonus Khan, by a margin of 54,861 votes. Pilot got 1,09,040 votes.

Jaipur, December 11

Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot won Tonk assembly seat, beating his nearest rival, BJP’s Yoonus Khan, by a margin of 54,861 votes. Pilot got 1,09,040 votes. 

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje won Jhalarapatan seat by defeating his nearest rival of Congress Manvendra Singh by a margin of 34,980 votes. Manvendra Singh is the son of BJP stalwart Jaswant Singh.

Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot, a veteran Congressman, is leading in his home turf Sardarpura by 44,054 votes.

Trends show on Election Commission of India website Congress is leading in 98 seats and had already won five—clearly trouncing the ruling BJP to head toward a simple majority.

The ruling BJP meanwhile is leading in 60 seats and has already won in 10.
