Sheetal
The pandemic has forced musicians from Punjab to slow down with their movie projects, promotional events and live shows. But the Punjabi music industry is benefitting from this as they are churning out back-to-back songs. As it is becoming difficult to keep track of the latest releases, we compile a list of new tracks for you.
Welcoming gesture
Diljit Dosanjh is sailing in many boats, but the best part is, he is nailing them all. Punjabi music industry’s favourite sardar, greatest of all times as says his latest album G.O.A.T, is back with yet another single, Welcome To My Hood. The song was uploaded on YouTube on Wednesday, a day prior to the scheduled date of its release.
On the go
Karan Aujla and Sidhu Moosewala are known for giving back-to-back singles. Sidhu recently shared the poster of his upcoming song Bad, presented by Speed Records, while Karan announced his song Adhiya which was launched on October 23. Karan is also reportedly planning an album.
Lyrical Jaanious
One thing that’s a guaranteed hit going by the recent releases is Jaani’s lyrics. Harrdy Sandhu announced his next single Titliaan with a picture post on Instagram, which will feature Sargun Mehta alongside him. The lyrics are given by Jaani and the music video will be directed by Arvindr Khaira. Sargun too shared her look from the song, where she is donning a headgear and scarf to cover her face.
Quite impressive
Ranjit Bawa impressed his fans with the song Impress last year in which he collaborated with Desi Crew and lyricist Bunty Bains. The video that garnered 90 million views inspired the singer to come up with the version 2.0 of the song. He released the song Impress 2 on October 22, retaining the same successful team.
Rooted in Punjab
From Born To Shine (Diljit’s song from G.O.A.T) to now Pindan De Born, Babbal Rai is winning hearts. And as the song says, while the musical roots are in Punjab, it’s charache America ne. The music is given by Desi Crew and lyrics by Narinder Batth.
